SRI GNANANANDA GIRI PEETAM

During a visit of Namaji's to Puttapathi, Sathya Sai Baba was giving a discourse about the great spiritual leaders of our country. Baba had said there is one saint who is beyond time and He is none other than the saint at Thirukkovilur, who is known as Swami Gnanananda Giri. Namaji was spellbound upon hearing this.

 

When Namaji went to get the dharshan of Sathya Sai Baba, Namaji mentioned that his Gurunathar was Swami Gnanananda Giri. To this, Baba said, Gnanananda is not only Namaji's Gurunaathar, but also His and to His Guru's. Sai Baba then asked Namaji to pray on His behalf to Gurunaathar to get an invitation to visit His Holiness in Thapovanam.

 

Some time later, Namaji was summoned to Thapovanam to receive a special guest. To his surprise, it was none other than Sathya Sai Baba. During this visit, Sai Baba indulged in many discussions on spirituality with Gurunathar.
