Vali Baba

During one of his visits to Bangalore, HH Jagathguru Sri Namananda Giri Swamigal (Namaji) and his friend had stopped by a market to get some vegetables for Thapovanam before returning. They had seen an old man at a flower shop and were drawn towards him. So they greeted him and sung a bhajan on Sathgurunathar for him. The old man enquired if they knew Gnanananda and Namaji replied saying He did. Upon hearing that Namaji was, in fact, returning to Thapovanam, the old man asked to go along with them. Namaji agreed and told Him to wait so He could pick Him up after their purchases. However, when they returned to pick Him up, they could no longer find them. So they made their journey themselves.

Once they returned to Thapovanam, Namaji was astonished to find the same old man they met in Bangalore sitting and conversing with Gurunaathar. It was later revealed that this old man was the revered Sri Vali Baba. This shows the timelessness of the interaction between saints, most especially in the case of our Sathgurunathar.
